1-on-1 Lesson Terms & Conditions

1. Lesson Plans

Our 1-on-1 lessons are offered on a recurring 4-week subscription:

• Light: 2 × 90-minute lessons per 4-week cycle

• Standard: 4 × 90-minute lessons per 4-week cycle

• Intensive: 8 × 90-minute lessons per 4-week cycle

Your subscription cycle begins on the day your first payment is made.

2. Automatic Renewal

Your plan renews automatically every 4 weeks using the payment method on file.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid cycle and your plan will not renew.

Payments already made for the current cycle are non-refundable and are not prorated.

3. Changing Your Plan

You may switch between the Light, Standard, and Intensive plans.

Plan changes take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle and are subject to teacher availability.

4. Lesson Schedule

Lessons are normally held at a regular, agreed-upon time. Any permanent schedule changes are subject to teacher availability.

5. Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.

With 24+ hours’ notice, we will first try to reschedule the lesson within your current 4-week cycle.

If the lesson cannot be rescheduled within the current cycle, you may carry over up to one Makeup Credit into your next cycle. The carried-over Makeup Credit must be used during the following cycle and cannot be carried over again.

Any additional unused regular lesson credits expire at the end of the cycle and do not roll over.

6. Late Cancellations & No-Shows

Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are counted as used.

If you do not attend your lesson, or arrive more than 20 minutes late, the lesson is considered a no-show and is counted as used.

If you arrive within the 20-minute window, the lesson may still take place, but it will end at the originally scheduled time.

7. Teacher or School Cancellations

If a lesson is canceled by your teacher or by Linglong Mandarin, you will receive a separate Makeup Credit.

Teacher/school Makeup Credits do not count toward the one-credit carryover limit for student-requested rescheduling and will be arranged separately based on availability.

8. Teacher Matching

Students are matched with teachers based on factors including learning goals, level, learning style, schedule, and teacher availability.

If your regular teacher becomes unavailable, Linglong Mandarin may arrange another suitable teacher so your lessons can continue.

9. Failed Payments

If an automatic renewal payment fails, your lessons may be paused until the payment method is updated and the outstanding payment is completed.

10. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unexpected situations can happen.

Serious emergencies or exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually by Linglong Mandarin. Any exceptions to these policies are made at our discretion and do not change the standard policy for future lessons.
